Join Sarah Moore for this one day workshop and learn how you can best you support a pregnant woman in an open yoga class.
Have you ever taught a pregnant lady in your open or flow class? Do you really know how to accommodate her needs during a dynamic practice? Do you know what to do if you see a pregnant woman struggle in an open class?
More and more, pregnant women are coming to open-level yoga classes. This workshop will show you how to accommodate a pregnant woman in your open class, why she needs a little more attention around her health and safety, and what to do when she walks up to the desk to check in!
This is not a prenatal training course, but you will learn about the stages of pregnancy, the health around pregnancy, as well as the main complications that can occur in pregnancy. All key things to be aware of for pregnant women practicing yoga! The course will give you the information you need to feel confident with a pregnant woman in your class, and to offer some feedback and support when required.
You will learn the many variations of poses, sun salutations and pranayama that can be taught and what not to do in class when threading in twists, backbends and core work.
This workshop will give you the quick thinking tools to support your pregnant students. Make them feel part of the group she has paid to practice with, comfortable within her pregnancy, and at ease in yourself that she is well cared for.
