Prana Vinyasa  - Awakening the Instinctual Body

with Shiva Rea and special guest Deya Dova

Explore the roots and evolution of Prana Vinyasa as a system of movement meditation evolving from a triad of Tantra, Krishnamacharya lineage and the ancient art of Kalari. These juicy sessions are for all levels!

Solar – Kalari Prana Vinyasa & the Flowing Art of Kalarippayatu
Morning Session 9:00am -12:00pm

Awaken your instinctual body through a dynamic introduction to the ancient Indian martial art form Kalarippayatu, or Kalari, and its intertwined roots within yoga and Ayurveda.

Based in the CVN lineage form, we'll explore the spiral fluidity, core power, and internal meditation with Kalari through foundation vaidavus (Kalari asanas), body mudras, namskaram, and Kalari prana vinyasa - a sequence to prepare and activate the flow of prana. You will be able to feel the power of Kalarippayatu from this session and learn a basic warm-up to help open the flow of the nadi lines in yoga or daily life.

Lunar – Yogic Body: Navigating the Life Journey
Afternoon Session 1:30pm – 4:30pm

As the last session of a week of Prana Vinyasa in Sydney, we will explore Lunar Flow as a rejuvenating movement meditation based on the Tantric Bhakti poetry and the unfolding of a full, juicy, rasa-filled practice to awaken the inner maps of flow and realization. This class will culminate in a 'shaktified' spontaneous movement meditation with the divine Deya Dova sharing her powerful vocals, and an incredible blend of live electronics and organic percussion.
